Motorola i1000 Plus Battery, wall charger included. There are cell phones and then there's Motorola's i1000 Plus. Billed as a "Multi-Communications Device," this phone is truly a mobile business communication center with cell phone, mobile speakerphone, email, Web clipping service, alpha-numeric paging and a Direct Connect two-way radio-like feature. The i1000 Plus is definitely not for the casual cell phone user. It's not the smallest (4.5" x 2.2" x 1.2") nor lightest phone (6.0 oz.) on the market, it requires Nextel service, and it has more capabilities than most people need. With features like Direct Connect (where you can call individuals or groups in your area via a two-way radio-like service), 3-way conference calling, 2-line capacity (business calls on one, personal on another) and a speakerphone, this is obviously a phone optimized for active business use. The i1000 Plus has a much appreciated hard flip cover (so you don't accidentally speed dial your mother-in-law). Flip it open with your thumb and you find yourself with an irresistible urge to shout: "Beam me up, Scotty!" Once you've built an address book, you can scroll through names and dial numbers without having to open the cover. You can also operate Direct Connect with the lid closed, by using the up and down buttons on the side to select your caller(s) and pressing the Push to Talk button. The feature set for this phone goes on and on: last 10 calls received/sent, missed call indicator, vibrator mode, voice mail, turbo dialing and more. The speakerphone is great for using while you're in the car for hands-free operation. The Web service offers only limited content such as news, stocks, travel info, sports, etc. Motorola claims that the phone has 60 hours of standby time and three full hours of talk time. We saw under 48 hours of standby on the unit we got. No reserve, please check out my other auctions, 100% satisfaction guaranteed and i ship out every friday. please check out my other items. |
